New Bike

Here we come. Keith has been sick and so that is why the lack of blogging. He is doing well know, but still has the yuck in his throat. He kept throwing up (spit up) to try and get it out. Kale took this picture to show me how sick Keith really was. He's such a good helper.
Since we live on a slope (hill) it is hard for the kids to ride their bikes. So Trey would tie their bikes to the back of his bike and tow them around. Here is John on his 4 wheeler and Trey.
John is getting better at riding this, but get s frustrated that he can't keep up with dad and Kale
This is Kale riding his new bike. We are practicing in the church parking lot because it scares him to turn on the hill. Trey even towed him behind his bike. Kale is doing really well, and I think will have to take the training wheels off by the end of this summer.

Poor Kale got stung by a bee at my sisters house on Sunday. This has never happened to him before and we were a little worried he might have some kind of reaction. So I gave him some benedryl and this was the result the next morning. The sting was under his right eye. The bruise on his forhead along witht he srape under his nose was from a scooter wreck about 3 days before. What a trooper!

River Trip 2008

I put all the pictures in the slide show. So hopefully you can follow along.
Before heading out to the river we gave Keith his first meal with a spoon. He did pretty good, but is not sure he likes it.
The River Trip this year was about a month early. My sister Lisa was here and so we had to go while she was in town. We drove up to Alpine, Wyoming on Wednesday. The Boys were really tired. On the way out, but managed to stay awake by eating the snake bags I made them.
When we got up there Trey went down the river and it was FULL. The Snake River was running at a 17 year high. My dad had rented class 4 life vests and and had the raft in top condition. I didn't go down the river until the next day and to tell you the truth I was a little nervous. On the first run that Trey had gone down they had almost tipped the raft over. Everyone got safely back in, but the river claimed a paddle (A lot better than a life)

This is Thursday morning when Trey and I both got to go down together. It was really fun and we only had one person fall out on this rapid. When he fell out he was sucked under the water except for his hand that grabbed the rope as he went out. On the next rapid James fell out and Ashley grabbed him before he got his hair wet! Since the little ones can't go down this river, it's way too big for them, we stopped at Lava Hot Springs on Friday and floated a little river there on a 4 man raft. Me, Trey, Kelton, & John all went down. Keith stayed with my sister at a park in the shade as we went down. After the first trip down John wanted to stay and play at the park with his cousin Will. The cookies had a small draw for him:) As you go down this river you can stop and get into the hot pots of water. They are sectioned off with rocks and it is hotter than bath water. The hot water comes from natural springs. This was really fun for the kids and Trey and I even enjoyed it. John wasn't so sure about the life jacket, but there is no question, he will be wearing it. After floating the Lava River we headed for home.
Trey, Kelton and John slept in the tent for 2 nights. While mom and Keith set up camp in Grandma and Papas trailer (Keith is too young for the tent). The boys love to camp and tent is just right for them. We did have a small upset the first night. Kelton had eaten so much candy that he spent the night throwing up into a bag while Trey held it. Jonny slept through the whole thing:) Thanks Trey.

This was such a great vacation! We had soo much fun. Thanks mom and dad for putting it on.

Trey's Birthday!

For Trey's Birthday we had quite the eventful day. We went to Kaden's Baptism where Trey got to give a talk on the Holy Ghost. He did a great job! (Kaden, Reagan, Brady, Celeste, & Jace)

Then we went out to dinner at Texas Road House. Sooo Good!.
Then we went to see Hancock. It was good. Happy Birthday Honey. I love you. You are the life of the party:)

4th of July

What a Day! We woke up really early and took the boys shooting out around the Lake. Keith was loving it as you can see from the above picture. They are pretty good little shooters. Kelton shot an orange ballon and John shot a yellow balloon. Then Trey and I shot the rest of the targets (balloons, water bottles, and jars).

The boys were shooting my dads 22 rifle (my favorite gun--its little and easy to shoot).

Before fireworks all my sister and my mom got our toenails done. It was so fun. Can you tell which toes are mine? I'm in the black pants.
This is all of us. Me, Jo, Lacie, Lisa, Libbey, Lindsey. Mom's taking the picture.
Then we went to my parents place at night and lit fireworks with all the cousins. (L to R: Saige, Hunter, John, Will, Kelton, & Drew. Missing: Tess, Brin, Kate, Keith)
Fireworks
Me Kelton and John waiting for Dad to light the fireworks
Trey and John watching fireworks
Kelton with his glow sticks. All the kids got them after the fireworks were over.
Thanks Jo and Jared.
A few days before we went to the Lehi parade with Lacie, her kids, and my mom. There's nothing like a good parade.

Summer Swim Lessons

Kelton is in swim lessons. He has swim lessons every Tuesday for the next 8 weeks. He is getting so brave.

He puts his whole head under and is working on his kicks.

He jumps in and swims to the other side.

We are so proud of him. He gave his first scripture in primary and even said his testimony in church. He's been begging to do it for 3 weeks. Great job buddy!
