Kauai

What a GREAT vacation. Trey and I spent a week in Kauai with all 5 of my sisters, their husbands, and my parents. We did everything: hiking, kayaking, ultralight flying, snorkleing, scuba diving, boating, beaching sitting, and poolside relaxing. We loved it. One night my family had a tennis tournament; which Trey and I won in doubles (your spouce had to be your partner--some of which had never played) It was hilarious and fun! I won the girl's singles tournament and Jared won the boy's singles tournament. We played shuffle board; which Lacie and James won by a land slide--KK and Brad did give them a run for their money. Chad tried vine swinging across a road in his speedo, but didn't make it before his vine broke. Jo was a wild woman on the rope swing (she was trying to do a back flip off of it--crazy!) My mom and dad never missed a beat and kept up with us crazy wanna be kids:) We ruined 3 pairs of sandles, 2 sets of tennis shoes, 1 bag, and I think a swim suit or 2. Like I said we had a blast. Trey was the photo guy so here are few just to give you an idea of how great our trip was. Thanks, mom, dad, Jo, Jared, KK, Brad, Lacie, James, Boo, Chad, Libbey, & Casey--until next time!

Park City

I feel like I'm sweezing in all the last minute vacations this summer. But I'm loving it, the kids are loving it, and Trey is enjoying himself too. So it must be worth it. We went up to Park City on Wednesday and just hung with our good friends and neighbors the Fowers. We went swimming all afternoon, watched movies in the condo all night, and then hit the Alpine Coaster the next day (and than went swimming again). I am so proad of my boys. I went up to Park City with all the boys Wednesday afternoon to meet Shannon and Mack to go swimming. Honestly, I was worried taking all 3 kids swimming without Trey or my mom. 3, yes that is Three, kids and just 1 me. But like I said my boys were great! Kelton could touch the bottom of the pool so he helped with John (who had his floaties on) and I held Keith (who just wanted to jump off the side of the pool). Shannon helped with Keith when I was playing with Kelton and John, thanks Shan. Trey made it up to Park City by 6PM that night. Brandon made up dinner (it was delicious) and then the kids watched their movie and the adults watched theirs. Everyone was happy. Sorry about no pictures, I packed everyone in about an hour and forgot to put the camera in. The Alpine Coaster was so fun. Johnny got to go down with me and then again with Shannon. He told me that Shannon didn't even scream! Well, next time I'll try not to:) Kelton was going down with Trey and got stund by a bee. He did't cry until they got to the end of the ride and he had to tell me what happened (I think the bee sting may have affected how fun the coaster was:()He is so tough. Kelton also got to show Trey what a great swimmer he has become. He can kick off the wall and do the big arms. Great job buddy. Well, thats it except a BIG Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to the Fowers for the awesome time!

Alpine Days Rodeo & Camp Pics

I just got back from Girl's Camp with the young women in our ward. Can I tell you I LOVE girls camp. I didn't take any photos but really hade a great time. We stayed at the Heber Valley Camp Ground, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We got to stay in cabins, have flushable toilets, and warm showers. It was great camping. It never stops amazing me how wonderful the youth are.
Well, the Alpine Days Rodeo has come and gone. I think this is the first year I have been to it when my dad wan't helping with it. But that made it so he could help all the grandkids ride the sheep. I asked Kelton and John if they wanted to ride a sheep this year. Kelton was sure he wanted o do it and actually seemed really excited. John told me "NO! It is too Scary." So off to the rodeo we went with 1 rider and 2 chicken chasers. Kelton rode and fell off right where the dirt had been packed. It looked like ti hurt, but he was tough and only cried a bit until grandpa bought him a snow cone. (Thanks Grandpa!) We did have a lot of support from His cousins and Family. The Broadbents, Lawrences, Hegerhorsts, Nelsens, Chatfields, and Porters where all there to cheer Kelton on and chase a few animals. Thanks everyone for comming.
