RAGNAR 2010

Ok, so I posted earlier that I had entered a race with my sisters and their husbands. It has come and gone and boy did we have fun! We started the race at 11:30AM on Friday, June 18 and finished the race about 5:30PM on Saturday, June 19. We had 12 of us racing and when it came right down to race day it was Casey, Libbey, James, KK, Cody Smith, and Boo in Van #1. And Jo, Me, Trey, Dan (Jared's Brother), and Dave (Dan's friend) in Van #2. Jared also came as the Diver of Van #2. He hurt his back and has been told NOT to run. The race started in Logan, ran into Heber, up over Deer Valley, and into Park City. In all about 188 miles. We ran, we ate, and we tried to sleep. By the end of the race I was about to kill over from lack of sleep, but was also really excited that I had achieved something that seemed so impossible to me a few months back.
The name of our Team "March of the Penguins"--a penguin runner is someone that is not very fast but will finish the race.

Lagoon

Every year we go to Lagoon. We usually wait until my sister Lisa comes to town and off we go. Well, this year was no different. We headed to Lagoon. 11 kids and 6 adults (we left Lacie home with Jaide who is 5 days old). Before we went into the park I wrote my cell number on their arm so that when they get lost they can tell the worker to call their mom (Yes WHEN, not IF because with this crew you just never know).

Bumper Cars-favorite ride for the kids
The Train Ride-Grandma's Favorite ride and a must for a day at Lagoon
The music ride-Me, John, & Will.
They laughed the entire time
Beefy and Kate so sad because they couldn't go on the music ride (they were 1/2 inch too short)
Puff-The magic dragon coaster. Beefy loved it, T man smiled but had a death grip on the side of the coaster.
Hunter & Kelton
Brin wanted to ride in Beefy's stroller and so did he so she told him she would hold him-she is so sweet to him even though he weighs more than her.
John on the swings.
After going on a few kid rides Drew, Hunter and Kelton wanted to ride the bat ride so off we went. Well, all but John. When we got on the ride I was counting heads and realized that I was missing John-Talk about a heart attack. We got everyone together all but 1 adult started looking. We had a place to meet if they got lost so I headed there. On my way there I got a call from Lagoon Security. They asked if this was Leslie and I told them it was and asked if they had John. They did! Phew! I was still nervous because I didn't have him. So when I picked him up I asked where they found him. They told me he was at the fountain (our meeting place) and that when they asked him if he was lost he lifted his shirt sleeve and asked her to call his mom. I am so glad he listened. I honestly didn't think anyone was listening to me, but my sweet little Johnny did. I then asked him if he was scared. He smiled at me and said, "No, I knew you would come get me." Man I with I was that sure ALL the time. We are all home and safe (until next year).

T-Ball 2010

I had to help with a Relief Society Activity during Kelton's 1st T-ball game of the season. Trey told me he caught a ball while he was playing 1st base, he hit a home run (if that was possible in t-ball) and he even looked like he knew what he was doing. His coaches this year are Mile Leavitt, and Rich Laudie. Both of their dons play on the team and are friends of Keltons. We are very excited for the season. Good luck guys!
Yelling what to do!
Hitting his home run
Rounding the bases
Throwing the ball to 1st base
Needing the ball to come to him so he has something to do:)
His loyal fans-John was teasing Beefy
Making sure he doesn't miss any of the action.

First Time Driving a 4-wheeler

My dad was able to get this old 4-wheeler running and was able to stop the throddle so that the 4-wheeler wouldn't go fast enough to get out of 1st gear. Kelton was the driver. He was so proud to be driving on his own. I was pretty proud to, because he didn't even try anything crazy-although it would be hard to with Grandpa, mom, dad, and grandma all watching.

John was so excited for his brothers new freedom.
Grandpa making sure they didn't think of something "stupid" to do & Beefy trying to catchup so he could ride too-Don't worry I didn't let him on. I let him drive his own truck:)
And he was happy as a clam!

John Swim Lessons

John LOVES, LOves, loVES, the water. He is not scared at all, which makes me even more scared. He is working on his Beginning 1 swim skills and is doing quite well. His favorite game is when he drops a ring to the bottom of the pool and his teacher pushes him under the water to get it. When he come up with that ring in his hand he is ALL smiles.

Learning to dive off the side of the pool. John did pretty good because he would put his head under but kept belly flopping.
Jumping off the diving board at the end of class. (John actually did this without hesitation and then went to tease Kelton-therefore Kelton jumped off too.

Kelton Swim Lessons

This summer we are taking swim Lessons at Groesbeck Swim School. Kelton was really excited to have a"boy" teacher.
Warming-up with some kicking drills-Kelton is always aware when Trey is taking his picture- He actually stopped kicking so he could look at the camera.
Practicing diving from the seated position.
Kelton didn't dare dive from standing so his teacher picked him up
and slowly lowered him in to the water.
End of class diving board jump. Great Job Kelton! We are starting on Intermediate 1
in a week or so.

Summer!

We have been running like crazy this summer--well at least I have and the kids have just been drug behind me! We had swim lessons (still need to download pics) the first week. Tennis lessons the 2nd week, and Summer Games this last weekend. Wow! I'm so glad my boys are good, because things could have gone really bad, but they didn't. Here are some pics of Summer Games.
Level 4 Team with me and Libbey-When did I get SO tall
Level 6 & 7 Team- Look at those metals-Nice work Ladies!
And a little of Baby Jaide-Lacie's newest little girl (she is 4 days old here and Lacie already has her in the gym--no one else was in there but us)
