St. George for the Weekend

The whole family jumped in the van and headed down to St. George for a weekend of fun. I was actually going down for a gymnastics competition and was excited that the Trey and the kids cam with me. The ride down was great. It is amazing what a little extra room can do for the nerves. We stayed in the same hotel as the team and had a blast. Trey had the kids while I was at the competition from 9:30AM till 4:30PM. He is so great with the kids. He even had Lacie's kids for the first 3 1/2 hrs. The went and fed the ducks by grandma and grandpa's house. They visited and played with grandma and grandpa and then headed back to the hotel for some good old swimming. The trip was great with the exception of Keith getting a cough and stuffy nose. I just love spending the weekend in the pool and just relaxing. Enjoy the pics.

Till next Time KK

My sister KK just moved from Philly to Virginia and got some vacation time because of the whole job switch thing. Anyway, we got to spend some great time with her. Her and mom got their nails done, she got some Birthday shopping in and even a couple dinners together. My favorite part was a surprise dinner we had the night before she left. My sister Jo got the whole thing together and made a very delicious Cafe Rio Pork Salads. KK had no idea it was coming and we all just sat around the table and laughed until we cried. We love you KK and will miss you till the next time.

Out with the Old, In with the New

Well, we finally did it. We bought a new car! I have swallowed my pride, but have gained convenience. I don't have to slide car seats to get kids buckles, I don't have 3 boys yelling in my ear as I am driving, and I don't have to pray that cops aren't out to take friends home. Welcome to my life of space and ease. The doors open & close by the touch of a button, the boys can buckle themselves (because they can see the buckle now), and they don't tease each other because they aren't sitting on top of each other. Thanks honey for a great new car, I love it!
PS- enjoy your black car again:)!

(I only got one picture before my camera battery died)

Kelton and John both had field trips to Cornbelly's. They loved it. I got to go with John so here are some pictures. The kids also got to go the Hee Haws, which is basically the same thing except more young kid friendly. We had a blast. Keith just wanted to chase around the chickens, Kelton loved the Corn Cannon, and John enjoyed playing in the Corn box. (I couldn't get the pic off my phone from Hee Haw--Sorry)

Keith & John on the hay ride going to get their pumkins
Keith taking a rest from the slide area--I couldn't get John to come over for a picture
John being a roper like grandpa--He said,
"The other horse is for Will, he's the header and I'm the Heeler."
He sure does love his grandpa!

Before we left for Cornbelly's Johns preschool class sang some Halloween songs. It we so cute!

Summer Picture Update

So this is what I have been working on lately.
Quilts:

This Baseball one is for my cousin. I made 2 others that the young women in my ward tied. 1 was basketballs for the 1st counselor in the young women's and the other was a really cute pink and brown on for the secretary in the young women's. (sorry no pic).

The boys bedspreads have been looking a little worn so I asked them what kind they wanted, They both said they wanted BYU blankets so here is what they're getting. (I have only finished this one and the second will look just like it, but it is only about 1/3 done).

Here is what each square looks like.
This is a picture of Kelton leaving for Kindergarten- I can't believe I have a kid in Kindergarten. Am I really getting that old?!

Here are John's 1st day of preschool pictures-notice the shoes-he loves them and didn't take them off for about 5 days.
Just leaving for the 1st day of preschool (I think he is so cute. I just want to kiss him)
So here are a few pictures that I found while trying to down load the pictures for the last post.

4-wheeling at grandma & grandpa's with dad was a fun thing to do this summer
Cascade springs--All the boys wanted to jump in, but you can't so Trey would hang them over the water.

Preschool, Kindergarten, & Fishing

Kelton started Kindergarten and is enjoying it. He doesn't enjoy homework or reading yet because it is still warm outside and would rather be playing with his friends outside (thank goodness for winter)! He does LOVE riding the bus, recess, and all his new friends.

John started preschool and Pinnacle Peak Preschool and is doing really well. He only had one bad day when he didn't want me to leave. You could tell it was a fake cry and a fake fit, but we got over it and he's loving the songs, his back pack, his friends, and even going potty at preschool (no accident at preschool yet).

Me and Keith have had some time to just relax together (he he he). Really, we read books, go grocery shopping, do laundry, clean the house, made a BYU quilt for Kelton and am working on one to match for John. Keith is starting to say words that make sense, which is always fun. I'm still glad I have him at home with me.

Trey has been taking the boys fishing all summer and has not had the greatest of luck. They have caught a few fish, but he has been wanting to catch more. After talking to our neighbor, who fishes a lot more than us, gave Trey a fly to use. Trey took Kelton and John and they caught a ton of fish. (Thanks Olie). Kelton's favorite part was touching the fish and John thought it was neat to see the fish swim off after Trey got the hook out of their mouth.

I have pics, but can't find them on the computer so hopefully they will show up soon.
