Look Who's 3

My little Beefy turned 3 this month. He is our little drama boy. Here are a few fun facts about my favorite 3 year old:
  • He likes to wear "short pants" even when its snowing outside
  • He changes his clothes at least 3 times a day-He picks out the clothes and then mom has to change them
  • He does gymnastics with the other boys and can EVEN stay in line for the entire 45 min. class
  • He is totally potty trained-No diapers at night even
  • He enjoys being called Beef. And he trusts & listens when called Beef, but not so much when called Keith
  • He is a good boy-he listens, and doesn't complain when I drag him all over town.
HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY BUDDY!
Birthday Boy
Kate Lady after going down the slide-She dressed herself and matched her pink butterfly shirt with her camo pants that have a VERY small pink butterfly on the back pocket.
His birthday cake and candles-After blowing his candle out he leaned over and blew out Kate's and then T-mans-hehe
His birthday loot

For his birthday we went to the Del Taco play place. He invited Kate and T-man. They all played on the play place, had quesadillas, and churos. The day before Grandma Chatfield took him to get his birthday gift from her and Grandpa. She took him shoe shopping and he even got a gift, the green frog pillow pet he has carried it around since he got it. She also got him a toy truck. This kid is spoiled. And then to top it off we went to Lava Hot Springs with the family and they all sang Happy Birthday to him and he was so excited he fell right off his chair.

Ice Castle in Midway

My mom called everyone this Saturday and told us about the ice castle in Midway. So off we went. It was a bit overcast, but for some reason when we got up there the snow flakes were huge and wet. By the time we left and headed to lunch everyone was just about soaked thru. But as you guessed it not one of the kids seemed to mind.

So this is as many of the group that I could get together: T-man, Kelton, Saige, Brin, Tess, Beefy, & John. Missing: Jo, Kate, Will, Lacie, Jaide, Grandma, & Me.
Grandpa took Drew, Hunter, & Jared duck hunting for Drew's b-day. James was working and Trey is on crutches because of a broken bone in his foot. So he didn't come. We missed him but can't wait til he is off the crutches.

New Beginnings 2011

I can't believe that I've been apart of another young women's new beginnings. I love this activity. It gives the girls a reminder of why we have young womens and what it is all about. This year we did the theme "Wizard of Oz". Here are a few pics to let you see how amazing it was. My counselors give it their all to make these things more amazing than I could ever imagine.
Invite
The Red Slipper for each girl to remind her she is like Dorthy-Trying to find her way home. The slipper is filled with red kisses to remind the girls that Heavenly Father has also left a mark upon them to protect them in this journey, just as the good witch left her mark on Dorthy
to protect her.
The yellow brick road leading into the Relief Society Room-It was scattered throughout the room to help everyone remember to follow it to get back to Heavenly Father
Entry Table
Food Table- We served "Ruby Red" punch, Auntie Emm's Homemade Bread & Jam, Red Velvet Cup cakes, and "Yellow Brick Road" Rice crispy's
The backdrop

The night was amazing we talked about how young womens can help us be brave, find knowledge, and learn to love. Thanks to everyone that made this night possible. I love young womens.

Quick trip to the Cabin

Last Saturday Trey & I took the kids up to the cabin. Of course we needed Boo and Chad to pull the snowmobiles up for us and then help us have some fun. Since we only have access to 2 snowmobiles we had to make a few trips up to get us and our lunches up there. So Trey & I hopped on 1 sled and Chad, Beef & John hopped on the other. Kelton and Boo started walking. Once at the cabin I got dropped off with Beef & John to open the cabin and get it warm. Chad and Trey headed back down to pick up Kelton and Boo. Once we were all up there we had some lunch played around on the sleds and even slid down the roof of the cabin!

Me & Beef playing on the sled
Boo sliding off the roof-John went down right before he with Chad and he got coved when all the snow that followed Boo landed on him (He's in the green coat at the bottom left of the pic)
It was pretty cold riding up to the cabin, but once we were up there it was warmer than I had thought. It snowed great big flakes and then it would stop. The sun never came out but no one was freezing or crying to go home. I'm considering this outing a success.
Thanks for a great day Boo & Chad

Beef's New Outfit

Every morning since Christmas I wake up get the kids dressed and then we start out day. About 8AM Beef comes to me and tells me he needs his short pants. I tell him I've already gotten him dressed so it he wants to wear them he will have to put them on himself. Well, at about 8:05AM this is what I find and there is "NO" changing his mind, even though its 18 degrees outside.

"Mom I got my short pants on. See my big fat belly!" Beef
"I can call it my big fat belly MOM!!" Beef
This is just a photo Trey took of Beef snuggled in my bed asleep. He favorite way to take a nap is with me in my bad and he has to be touching me-look close and you will see that he has his hand on my shoulder.
