24th of July

We did it! We finially took all 3 boys camping. They loved it with a few exceptions: Kelton got sick in the middle of the night and was threatening to throw-up. John peed in his sleeping bag so the tent stunk of pee (not to bad of a clean though may I add). And last but not least, I got a hole in my air matress so it was flat before I even got to lay in it. Other than that we had a blast. (Pictures comming hopefully)

Kelton got to start his first camp fire. We roasted marshmellows, played frisby, and told stories by the fire. I love being outdoors. The boys helped Trey find wood for the firewood and break it. It was so cute to see John stand on one end and pull up the other so the stick would break. Kelton would tell stories by the fire, and Keith would just sit and listen. Nothing fansy just us and the boys in the mountains.

For the 24th we had a bbq with our neighbors, the Fowers. Brandon smoked some meat in the smoker and it was delicious. Keith ate just as much as trey and I! Then we helped them set off a wagon full of fireworks. Keith wasn't sure if he liked the loud noise, but eventually decided it was ok. By the end of the night the whole neighborhood was out. Thanks Fowers, you guys are great and really know how to through a party.

From The Mouth of Babes

Earlier in the week the boys and I were driving in the car and this is how our conversation went:
Mom: Kelton and John please get your seat belts on.
Kelton: Do I have to click it?
Mom: Yes
John: I ok without it mom, I'm tough.
Mom: No, John you need to get it on. Now please
John: umm, no
Kelton: Mom, John is choosing the left.
Mom: Really, what does that mean.
Kelton: You know, when you are good you are chooing the right, and when your not good you are choosing the left.
Mom: I thought you where choosing the wrong if you weren't choosing the right.
Kelton: No mom you're choosing the left if you're not choosing the right and the left is not good.
Mom: oh:)
John: I don't choose the left Kale!
Kelton: You are Not putting you belt on like mom said so you are choosing the left and that's not good.
John: Fine (and then he put his seat belt on).
We can't be choosing the left. We need to choose the right:)

Lehi Round Up 2009

What is summer without the Lehi Round up rodeo. I always have a blast. This year my mom was out of town, but we all still got tickets for my dad for his birthday and went. Kelton loved being with Drew and Hunter. John didn't move an inch because he was so busy watching the rodeo with Wil and my Dad. Eveyone else enjoyed Lisle, the clown, rodeo burgers, soda, and snow cones. Thanks dad for helping this tradition stay alive.

Lisle my favorite clown
Half Time- With the Canadian Airforce
Going out with a back flip.
(No pictures of the Rodeo because I'm to lazy to up load and change them to jpgs, maybe later)

Sidewalk Art

Trey and I took the kids to the Gateway to see the Sidewalk Art display. Artists from all over come and draw using chalk on the side walks to raise money for the children's Foster Care in Utah. It was really neat and the boys even thought it was cool. Here are some of the drawings.

We got there early, so most of the artists were still working on their projects.

My favorite, even though it's not finished! It is 3D so when it's done it will look like you can see right down into the ground.
The boys loved this one of a black dragon. It was pretty cool, but we didn't get a photo of it. And then at the end of all the professonal drawings the kids got to draw with sidewalk chalk. It was really fun.
